Another local chef is going places! Meet Chef Gaya, a self taught vegan chef who have just started her own food venture three and a half months ago (3 1/2 months) by offering her cookings to fellow Malaysians. Gaya started her cooking journey since she’s 14 years old. Her forte of fusion cooking works by combining existing recipes with blends of flowers, fruits and herbs creating new recipe ideas for vegans in Malaysia.
With a strong 6,000 followers on her social media channel, Chef Gaya is a plant-base wellness lifestyle advocate and a firm believer of vegan-healthy eating life-stylist.
Running A Kitchen During The Pandemic
The food venture is a one-man show run by Chef Gaya herself. With the recent MCO kicking in, delivery orders has been on the rise while Malaysians stay tuck in at home. Chef Gaya sets up a small capital of MYR 500 to run this small venture and all groceries are bought fresh daily from few miles of her home. Cutting down on transportation or physical kitchen rentals cost, Chef Gaya does her cooking preparation at a dedicated kitchen set up for daily delivery.
Things have certainly work well for Gaya. With daily orders increasing, Chef Gaya recently launch ‘Wellness Lunchbox Campaign’, a self-initiative to deliver whole food plant-based cookings with low content of oil, sugar, salt and of course low-calories food!

The menus are crafted personally by Chef Gaya herself and each wellness box comes with a written summary of the benefit of each ingredients found on the recipe!

The campaign has been been running for 1 month and Chef Gaya prepares unique different daily menu from Monday to Friday. She hopes to run the campaign for a year to help vegan-enthusiast stay healthy.
You will have to pre-order before 10am each day. A flat rate delivery of MYR 9 throughout Klang Valley for minimum order of 2box is chargeable. For additional box, there will be a MYR 2.50 charge per box as Gaya engages a 3rd party delivery service. There’s no limit on the number of orders.
